Late, Rattled and Determined

Hello to all of you! Thank you for reading this blog.

I'm late this week in posting.

My apartment has been invaded several times over the last ten days. The people who did this have left behind threatening messages. The messages were related to my singing, and to things I'm doing to spread information about healing and connecting with natural/physical/biological intelligence and the earth.

I'm focused right now on securing my apartment and considering what steps I need to take next.

At this point, I intend to start posting again regularly next week.

Thanks for your understanding.

Captivity

It is 3 or 4 am, and I am awake.

I decide to take advantage of the time by forgiving myself.

Forgiving myself and freeing and releasing myself from those current connections in my life where I sense potential aggression towards me.

I see a few individuals in my mind's eye, and forgive myself for my involvement with them.

Then I turn my inner eye on myself.

To my astonishment, I see myself shackled, manacled, blindfolded. I am seeing that I am a captive. The captive is a sitting duck for those who like being on the perpetrating side of capture.

I forgive myself.

I tell my natural/physical/biological intelligence to reorganize me, so that the captive becomes instead the human being who claims her space, who is competent and able to live free.

Nature goes to work immediately. I am grateful. Eventually the captive me will be replaced by the free me.

Spring and Sadness

All our feelings are part of our natural/physical/biological intelligence.

No feeling is nearly as difficult as not being able to act on the wisdom a feeling is providing.

As Karla McLaren eloquently explains in The Language of Emotion, sadness counsels us to release, to let go, to change away from something that's not working in our best interests, whether that something is inside of us or outside of us.

As I see it, if we want to echo spring's new growth in our own evolution, we will often need a period of sadness to get there, our tears an echo of spring's melting snow and ice. We release those things that don't work for us anymore, so new buds can appear.

I became aware earlier this week that in some past situations, I've been prevented from acting on my sadness, and that reality has hampered my growth.

I do my best nowadays to make space for my sadness and to act on its insight.

Here's two people enjoying the ice melt and the fascinating things water does...

I love that the people filming this scene find the water beautiful. When the person says "It's beautiful" the tone of voice also shifts into the realm of beauty.

On a tangent... I was really struck by the fact that in this video, the people filming they compare the look of the water and ice to something they've seen on a television show, The X Files. At least on this soundtrack, it doesn't occur to them that maybe the visual effects people on The X Files got their inspiration from observing water. Their point of reference here for exploring what they're seeing is something artificial they've seen on television. The approach I think is more useful is understanding that the natural world is most likely the source and point of reference for what gets created by humans on television—and elsewhere.

Balance, Equity, Respect, Harmony... Reprise

From Feel the Love, Get the Respect, Track 2: "And ideas such as balance, equity, respect, harmony, and justice, both between humans and between us and all life forms, may begin speaking to us more deeply."

I was amazed to find this video... an echo of Wednesday's post with the imagery of balancing on a platform... but this time the themes of harmony and respect are demonstrated from the constructive side of the equation, rather than the destructive...

Balance, Equity, Respect, Harmony... Do They Sound Good, Or Are They Actually Useful?

I was mesmerized by this video which says so much about  the value of balance, equity, respect,  harmony, and justice...
